Question: Where is my website? I uploaded my website via FTP and I still don't see it when I try to go to my domain. What did I do wrong? Answer: Could be a few things. The first thing you need to check is if you have named your main page either index.htm or index.html If you have not done so, your website will not show up. If you have named your main page, index.htm, is there also an index.html file in your directory? If so, delete this. If this has failed, you most likely uploaded your site into the wrong directory. Your FTP program should contain a line such as: Default Remote Directory or Initial Remote Site Folder In this field, try putting in the line "/web" without the quotes. If you do not see anything after logging in, then you did not upload your site to the right directory. Upload it again. |
